Was born in Christchurch/ Canterbury / New Zealand, now living in Dubna / Moscow Region / Russia. Fond of botany, has a large collection of ferns at home and studies them in his scientific research. In free time likes to listen to music, to be alone with nature, especially in the forests and swampy places where the air is filled with moisture and smells of earth, greenery and life, and, of course, do photography.
